Industrial Furnaces

Carbolite Gero offers a range of industrial furnaces for batch processing. All of our industrial furnaces are designed and built to be extremely hard-wearing, safe, and easy to service. Our industrial furnaces are available in various sizes, from compact bench mounted models through to large floor standing models with heating chambers of up to more than 3000 litres in volume. Maximum temperatures of up to 1800°C are available.

Our industrial furnaces can be built and supplied with a wide range of options in order to closely meet customer needs. The options which are available vary from furnace to furnace but include over-temperature protection and a range of digital controllers, multi-segment programmers, and data loggers. Industrial Furnace Details

Typical applications of industrial furnaces include soldering, the heat treatment of steels and alloys, and ceramics sintering. The modular design of our static or bogie chamber furnace allows it to fulfil a number of different roles, and the versatility of our general purpose industrial chamber furnace (available as both a bench mounted and a free-standing unit) makes it ideal for batch processing.

Our top hat industrial furnace provides the perfect temperature distribution thanks to the arrangement of the CrFeAl heating elements and the multilayer insulation included with high temperature models. The high temperature chamber furnace is most ideally suited to soldering and sintering, with a debinding option being available for the latter if this is required.

Our general purpose industrial chamber furnace, our large industrial chamber furnace, and our static or bogie chamber furnaces can all be supplied compliant with the AMS 2750G Nadcap specification - making them suitable for aerospace applications.

Industrial Furnaces - FAQ

What is an industrial furnace?

An industrial furnace is a heating device that meets the precise temperature control and temperature uniformity requirements of industrial processes. They provide the heat required for industrial processes and can either run in air or with a controlled atmosphere. They are constructed to withstand a production environment, whilst still providing accurate and precise temperature control. Electrically heated industrial furnaces provide the best temperature accuracy and a cleaner working chamber compared with other fuel types.

What is the temperature range of an industrial furnace?

Industrial furnaces are available with a range of maximum temperatures. The maximum temperature is dependent on the type of heating elements used in the construction. The most common have metallic wire heating elements with a maximum temperature in the range of 1000°C to 1200°C. Higher temperatures can be achieve with different types of heating elements up to 3000°C.

Which types of industrial furnace exist?

There are many types of industrial furnaces including chamber furnaces, top hat furnaces, bogie hearth furnaces, strand annealing furnaces, elevator hearth furnaces, and modified atmosphere furnaces.

What applications are industrial furnaces suitable for?

Industrial furnaces are suitable for larger scale applications including annealing, heat treatment, debinding, sintering, graphitization, quenching, siliconization, brazing, and calcination. Industrial furnaces can be manufactured to comply with the requirements of industry specific standards such as NADCAP AMS2750G and CQI-9.
